Improving the quality of life and social climate in health and disease. The translational research focuses on emotional, attentional and social dysregulations, in health and disease
Translational research centers on sensory, emotional, attentional, and social dysregulations in health and disease. In the Behavioral Neurobiology Lab, we investigate how developmental environmental hardship produces lasting behavioral, biochemical, and neural consequences that contribute to disorders such as PTSD, ADD/ADHD, and other neuro-dysregulation conditions.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):
Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): the interplay between social cooperation inheritance dysregulation and neurodegeneration models to identify behavioral and neuronal mechanisms.
Physiology Room: We manipulate different environmental conditions to quantify various animals’ behavior in different room settings/tasks.
To encompass our multifaceted research, we occupied versatile cutting-edge technologies such as telemetric electrophysiological recording for rat models and for human studies we have an advanced 32 channels EEG setups and fNIRs, together with our own developed tools and methodologies such as the automated social cooperation maze, and the Mindtendion aimed to measure emotional and attentional dysregulations.
